May I kindly suggest that instead of discussing the proper placement within FlyerTalk of this thread as some members engaged in, that the discussion focus instead on whether there is a CDC (or equivalent elsewhere) policy as the OP suggested or inquired about in cases of onboard illness, and the wisdom or need for such a policy.
