Correct, it is normal for the bass setting to show up in the sound mixer. But when in advanced mode it only shows the volume settings for: Speakers, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player and Microphone. No bass or other more advanced settings are shown (they do show if I switch to my Nvidia NForce 2 sound adapter instead of the USB Logitech headset). My guess is that this headset has it owns inbulit sound processor and does not use the Nvidia card at all. Problem might be in the device drivers and Logitech does not have any new drivers released yet

Yes, the Logitech has it's own USB sound card, not all soundcards support bass/treble and it's obvious that this one doesn't. I prefer the Plantronics USB headsets.
