When I first saw this thread, I thought, "Why Not"

A technology market place would allow many members help others when they need a particular item, or because most of the people here are gadget freaks, the ability to sell them in reasonably new and in good shape.

But as much as I would like that idea, I think there are better places to sell your items, like eBay.

Now my questions are:

Is it just as bad to post a thread selling an item, as it would be to post a link to an item that you selling on eBay?

It is true that FT cannot be everything to everyone, but if I wanted to post that link, would it be permitted, and if so, where?

How about if I am looking for a good or service, can I post that information?
