Call for Million Milers who came from US Airways -Transition FFP Benefits?
Did you come from US Airways with Million Miles accumulated from US Airways frequent flyer program?
Problems as I see them happening:
(1) Interpretation: it was my understanding from pre-merger chatter that US Airways ff miles will be treat as if earned on AA. So for the Million Miler program ALL miles earned before December 2011 are counted, and after that date only actual flight miles are counted toward Million Mile program. Upon transition from Dividend Miles to American Advantage the miles the due benefits will be bestowed.
To mean it means that all pre-December 2011 miles from US and AA will be counted, and post December 2011 flight miles from US and AA will be counted.
(2) The benfits of Million Miler program are:
(a) lifetime status Gold for 1 mln, Platinum for 2+ mln. regardless of flying activity.
(b) for 1st one million 35,000 miles bonus
(c) for 2nd million 4 Systemwide Upgrades (unstated expiration date)
(d) for each million miles above 2 addition 1 SWU.
What did you get?
Did you get the 35,000 and/or 4 SWU and or more SWU?
By now I know of several problems:
(1) member with US life-time 3 mln miles accumulated before Dec 2011 got Lifetime Gold (recognized for 1 mln) and received no 35,000 miles and no SWU's
(2) member with US life-time 2.6 mln miles about 2.1 accumulated before Dec 2011 got Lifetime Platinum (recognized for 2 mln) and received no 35,000 miles, on March 29, 2015 received 4 SWU for 2nd million, on April 1 some 4 SWU were withdrawn from the account and now AA said because it was not deserved.
What is your experience and take on this.
