All of our management team, myself included, have been using the Travelpro for over a year with no ill effects. Then again, we use Thinkpads.
Unless you're doing something like leaving the thing running while it's in the bag (not great for heat dissipation either), I can't see why you'd have a problem. Heads are parked when the machine is off or hibernating, yes?
