Many years ago, it was very easy to hack the lodgenet or spectravision boxes. All you needed was an allen wrench to open the back of the box and note the on/off switches on the back of the box. (small toggle pins) Record the current settings, reset to zero and tada...Free movies. You just needed to put the settings back when you left.

At least that's how I heard it could be done.
