The worst are the facilities that require steel-toed shoes so that if the Large Disk Frame (tm) falls on your foot, they don't eat a worker's comp claim or a lawsuit. And they even provided a couple of "loaner" pairs to the unfortunate vendor or contractor who showed up without a workable pair.
Of course, I heard a nasty story from a Large Disk Vendor (tm) about a nasty case of athlete's foot, but now I'm drifiting waaaay of topic. So I'll stop.
I personally deal with industrial spying and whatnot every now and then, and I like the idea of banning camera phones. In data facilities, I'm all for handing in the cell phones.
