He does indeed; their tour guide mentioned on a couple of occasions her unwavering support of Putin, and she asked a couple of odd questions about why two "single" men and their parents were all traveling together. (Theirs was a private tour for the six of them, and not a group tour per se.) He said if he had it to do over, they'd have left their rings on the ship and just never discussed personal matters.

With regard to our demeanor, as I mentioned in my original post, we're pretty boring, with no activist agenda on this trip.
