if you can be bothered getting yourself to germany you can fly to the middle east then onwards to Dubai for very little avios. Berlin Tegel to Abu Dhabi is 25,000 avios return and around £65. Business class is 75,000 but if you used less miles and more money you could get it down to 59,900. Also Frankfurt to Doha is the same avios. The taxes are a bit more.You could potentially do this. One way economy and one way business and still have some avios left over. One problem though....you still have to get to Dubai. Abu Dhabi is just along the motorway though. You could do the AirBerlin option for as little as 8,000 avios and £200 quid. Get a cheap flight to Germany or use some of the avios you would be saving!
