I've just got myself into a hole with a DUB-HNL trip in August
Due to work commitments I'm booked on the FR STN :-\ departure at 2200 - leaving DUB the following morning at 0745. Just wondering now if I should dump the FR flight and go BA at 2140 from LHR which is twice the price (and a bit of a push to get to from Cambridge after I finish work)
My concern is that if the FR flight is cancelled I will invariably have to pay to change the ticket - which isn't the end of the world but I'd still have the problem of getting to DUB.
If I book LHR to DUB with BA (on the AA website same as the HNL ticket) are they likely to be more sympathetic if the positioning flight is cancelled???

I really wouldn't worry about this one. Chances of outright cancellation are minimal, especially in summer.
If the worst does happen then (a) panic and (b) log on to FT and seek help immediately. But for now, just relax and look forward to your FR flight
