I had a disagreement with someone in our US office who got the 6200. I told him he won't be able to use it on 900MHz networks. He said "It's a tri-band, it will work" Suffice to say, he gave me an earful about how he was right and I was wrong after he got to the UK and it worked fine on Vodafone and O2. (well DUH: both have GSM1800 spectrum as well!).

He calls me then when he get's to France, complaining about spotty areas with no coverage and saying the French networks had poor quality Seems he WAS only roaming 1800MHz and most French rural areas don't have an 1800MHz overlay on SFR and Orange... Nor could his phone roam with Bouygues.

There is a 6220 planned to ship in the next few months that is 900/1800/1900, see http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,5879,00.html
