UA currently is a joke!
I feel for the current employees. Both the management and the Union's need to sit in a small room and work things out (Cigars are allowed). They are only allowed to eat nothing but Y meals (domestic) and use a Lav for breaks (same size as an RJ). No one leaves until they reach an agreement. They also get to drink what is available in Y+ for drinks - NO FREE BOOZE (domestic).
I would guess contracts for all Union work groups would be done within 24 hours. They also must sit in slimline seats during this and be served by a grumpy FA.
That would be the start to fix UA's problems. Unify the work groups ASAP!
UA is still running two airlines. Houston - that is a problem! Work as a team and fix this mess.
This is a win-win for the Unions. Collect dues each month and do nothing. It is a win-win for UA management - keep wages where they are. It is not a win-win for me or my employees. PAX suffer through this mess.
UA need to take a lesson from WN and DL on how to build morale.
