AA should be told about service failures and especially should know when they are visible to their customers! Do write up those items that AA can do something about and ask them to escalate with the appropriate parties. If you're not after points then don't mention them in your message. You may not get much back from AA in the way of communications (unless it's about how to operate your seat belt), but you gotta hope your message finds someone that muster some resources.
As soon as we stop telling them when things go wrong, more will go wrong.
