BigFlyer and/or SkyTeam777, what was your resolution here?
I'm in a similar situation at the moment w/the lovely delta.com
- looking to book a DL domestic/VS transatlantic outbound in First/Upper, with any DL/VS economy return
- the outbound leg shows low reward (62.5k) availability on delta.com...
- ...but the phone rep couldn't see it at all
- and furthermore I can't book the mixed-class itinerary online, so I need to call...
- ...but they can't see the outbound availability
Argh. Based on what I've read on this thread it
sounds like I should just book the outbound flights and then call to get them to add the return flights, all the while ensuring I don't get hit for (a) phone-booking fees, (b) change fees on the PNR I book online (I'm not PM/DM), or (c) EU origination taxes on the return flights.
Has anyone successfully done that recently? I'm tempted to just give up on the outbound-J idea and book the whole thing in Y, saving a few miles for another day, but that feels like admitting defeat
