Some years ago American and a few other airlines showed a cockpit view of the takeoff on their cabin screens.
For me it's just not the same thing, a lot of airlines have cameras on outside of planes and while it's nice to see the approach, especially at night, seeing something through a screen/monitor just isn't the same as seeing it with your own eyes.
