Sturdy, Tri-band and Germany? Siemens S55 is the way to go. Or for a more fun version the new M55. The M55 should be available for around €299 at your local MediaMarkt.

The S55 offers more business features while the M55 has more gimmicks like fun ringtones etc...

Don't compare it with the S40, the S40 wasn't a real Siemens, it was a Bosch in a Siemens jacket...
