BR Elite (Eva) vs. AC PE Transpacific?

I have a choice to fly Eva Air's or Air Canada's Premium Economy service on a transpacific routing from Singapore to Canada. Does anyone have any thoughts on comparing/contrasting the two?

BR's Elite Class ticket is a few hundred dollars more but includes an Elite seat from SIN-TPE AND TPE-YVR. AC's PE ticket only includes a PE seat for the transpacific flight (NRT-YVR), but not the connection from SIN-NRT.

I've never flown Eva at all, and never flown Air Canada's new PE class, so I have few reference points on which airline/routing would be preferred.

I'm leaning towards AC mainly because I prefer to hub in Japan when doing this transpac flight and like flying NH up to Tokyo.
