Actually, I think it all depends on exactly how the catering comes out. My last DCA-JFK flight (about the same length, if not shorter, than BUF-JFK) had the enhanced snack basket. Milanos all around!
I can't speak to my last JFK-BUF trip since I got the UG, but it's long enough that hopefully they'll board the right basket.
