You are not really comparing two similar products - one is simply a lie flat economy seat with no frills attached & the other a premium economy product with a lot more bells and whistles. For me if you simply see the plane ride as a way to get from point a to b and don't care about the frills "Sky couch" may be for you - $1,000 can go a long way in up grading your accomadation or food choices here in NZ. But if you have the cash and the frills plus a more comfortable ride are important to you - you may be disappointed with the back of the plane experiance compared with the award winning NZ - PE service.
