I've been lurking for a while but finally decided to register because I have a question I hope the collective wisdom of FlyerTalk can answer.

I booked a return LHR-DOH-ICN on Qatar Airways into class O. The ticket was booked on the 17th April so before the executive club changes took place. At that time, I recall the BAEC website was saying that all QR flights would earn Avios and TPs, albeit certain cheap economy classes (including O) would only earn discounted TPs and avios. So all in I was expecting 140 TPs (35 from each leg) and 25% of flown miles as avios, but sadly I did not screenshot this.

Last week I completed the flights. All 4 legs successfully posted to my BAEC account, but have come up at the new earnings rate of 20 TPs (and 25% avios). To get the missing TPs I tried to submit a "claim my missing avios" request through the BAEC website but it wouldn't let me do this because each leg had posted to my account. So I called the phone line.

The guy I spoke to claimed that because I'd booked into O class then under the old earnings rate for QR flights I should not have received any TPs or avios at all. He was insistent that he was correct, despite me pointing out that a) the BA website at the time said otherwise and b) this does not fit with my past experience of booking flights into O-class where I'd always previously earned 50% TPs and 25% of flown miles. He came out with some guff about the BAEC contract with QR changing on the 28th April so that TPs could be earned (no, I didn't follow this bit either) and it was clear from the conversation that I was not going to get anywhere further with the guy. So.

1) Was I correct to expect 140 TPs for my O-class QR trip booked before 28th April?

2) If yes, what can I do about it now? The 60 TPs will get me into silver (based on future travel) so I'd quite like to have them.
