MIA is the traditional leader in worst immigration and customs experience. I purposefully avoid using MIA as my reentry point into the States.
My last time in MIA I sailed through easily, the worst part was reclearing security to get back into Terminal D. And that was before I had GE. In fact, I've had my worst experiences at IAD.
