Guys... I think I may have found something. There's a Kodak camera that appears to be a Nikon lens mount compatible but has much better resolution than whats availble from Nikon... 13.89 million megapixels.
I havent yet read the details, but for me the 64 million dollar question is how they define compatible. Today's SLR optics have so much electronics that true compatibility between lenses and camera body gets tricky. Things like image stabilization, special focusing features, and automatic lighting/color adjustments are only possible if the lenses and the body can talk to each other...
