Some people say refund processing is automatic if cancelled within 60 days and manual if cancelled within 180 days, but this was not confirmed by CSRs, neither by SM nor over the phone.
How do you interpret this?
No need to interpret it. Just which way you want to believe depends on your risk taking tendency. For me, I go by the 60 days unless you have a particular reason(s) to keep it beyond the 60 days. I still would want to make sure the 180 days thru SM until I got the clear cut answer like the poster showed above on his CSP.
In my book there are very few Chase cards worth their annual fees. The only card that the AF is paid for by the benefit and then some is the IHG card but that card has very poor earning structure sadly. All other cards dont worth the AF, with the only exception due to the ability to transfer UR pts. So basically we just keep one premium UR card in the household for that purpose. If no retention offer on any fee-based card, it goes bye bye.
