The only real difference between the T68 and the T68i is the photo album function and the faceplate.
</font>
Wrong.
The main differences between the T68i and T68m are:
- T68i supports Multimedia messaging (pictures/sound/text plus slideshows)
- T68i has a melody composer and improved iMelody support
- T68i has a picture album for background images, icons and screensavers
- T68i supports adding new themes
- T68i supports screensavers
- T68i supports animated pictures (not just animated icons as with the m)
- T68i has 1MB dynamic memory supporting a picture album, iMelody composer, etc. Memory is dynamic across several different
applications.
- T68i supports IMAP e-mail in addition to POP3 (T68m only supports POP3)
- T68i is GPRS 4+1 (T68m is GPRS 3+1...that means higher download speeds)
Further, the SE service point in the USA doesn't support the T68i - SE is still selling the m here, even though they are advertising the i all over busses, at least in SEA. There is a VS engineer in PA who will upgrade the firmware for $40 plus shipping. Note that this gives all the above features *except* the 1MB dynamic memory - the m has about 600k total available and it stays segmented between applications.
