When they give a number that does not match with the norm, I would use SM to double verify it so to avoid any unpleasant surprise later.
Up until now I have tried SM four times and and every time they confirmed 60 days (and that it is not 180 days). I have called 6 times and every time they confirmed 180 days (and that it is not 60 days).
Some people say refund processing is automatic if cancelled within 60 days and manual if cancelled within 180 days, but this was not confirmed by CSRs, neither by SM nor over the phone.
How do you interpret this?
