My point of view would be not to be too picky in such cases and to focus m ore on the aspect of getting from A to B in time.
If you've booked via travel agent, your agent will be authorised to rebook within certain boundries. You can discuss with the TA which options you have.
(By the way, the UA longhaul C product isn't too bad and you can always retro claim the original routing miles with LH later)
