If I spend $10K in an account year, thus supposedly extending my Gold status through the end of the following year, will I lose that benefit if I cancel the card? If so, how long after canceling the card does Gold status continue? I would definitely appreciate some insight from people who have canceled, especially if you hit $10K spend first.
