if your Chexsystem and credit reports turn out fine, try to register again.
I had never even heard of Chexsystem before. I was under the impression that they did not run a credit check but perhaps the Chexsystem is not exactly a credit check. I have been following my credit reports through the free annual credit reports (although it has been a year or two since I have pulled the report directly from the credit reporting agencies) and also credit karma (very recently). No derogatory remarks of any kinda whatsoever.

No. I was beginning to worry that perhaps someone has used my SSN to open an account though.

I am not sure what is in the Chexsystem but all three of my credit reports are solid. Plenty of recent activity, no black marks and a strong FICO score.

I tried re-registering a couple of times with no luck,. I finally got fed up and decided I had nothing to lose by trying to register for a Serve card instead. This time it has let me get to the point where It wants me to upload a copy of my social security card and DL. I just did that and I am hoping it goes through.

Thank you to all of you who responded. Flyertalk has been a great resource and hopefully at some point I will have some wisdom of my own to pass on. Those who know me would say that is unlikely to occur
