757 gets an easy win here.

A few weeks back, I lucked out and was able to get tickets for our holiday travels, and F was the same as buying EC. Bought F, and was able to get all 757s. Our first leg was supposed to be a redeye to ATL on a 752 (no AVOD) allowing us to get a decent chance at some rest (I actually like those older 752 and A320 type F seats). But then on Saturday, schedule change day, I got an email. Our 1 hour layover is now almost 2 hours, our flight has been taken off the schedule, and we're on the domestic 763, which I intentionally AVOIDED. Of course, our flight is nixed (for weeks leading up to our trip), and of course shows back up on the schedule the day after we depart.

If we had been in Y, and therefore no chance of an upgrade, I wouldn't have cared. The bulkhead has okay legroom and the 2 seats on the sides are perfect for us. I guess there are two very small silver linings: since the flight is 180 days out and no one has bought any F seats yet, we had first pick and I put us in two of the middle F seats; and since the cost was literally a few bucks more than lowest Y fare, at least the whole trip is in F and we get bonus miles. But still. This was the flight I was actually hoping to unwind and sleep on.
