I think we are at 4-5 people who got a MC, had it converted, and then got another. A lot of people have had old cards (Visa, AmEx) converted to MC and the effect of that still seems to be unknown.
There was at least one or may be two posters whose world were converted to world elite. Based on yours and PaulMSN's successful experiences, said posters tried for the 2nd MC but did not get the bonus.
I remember this primarily because the elite conversion time of the failed attempts, matched to my husband's - so after I read those posts, I decided not to push / waste a pull, but would go for the Premier TYP instead - we dont lack any AA miles even for the First Apartment if there is availability that is, but we barely have enough for the SQ suite. The failure reports help our decision to go for Premier instead of 2nd MC.
