She knew something was illegal and got busted. She's actually quite lucky - if she were simply a regular worker at a Japanese company they would have fired her ASAP (terminating arrested workers is SOP in Japan).
I don't feel bad for her either because it wasn't like it was 5 pills left in its bottle in a handbag or something. Allegedly, it was carefully concealed and enough (50) to last for a while. Don't know where or what Toyota will do with her. Probably put her back Stateside because she definitely can't go on after embarrassing them like this.
