I have an upcoming flight in F where I am in seat 2D off an AA redemption booking. I do not have airline status. I believe there are still open window seats at this time on my flight. I checked QR website and I am unable to switch my seat for my outbound flight. Online check in on the CX website opens 48 hours before flight time. Will I be able to change my seat to a window seat via the online check-in or will I have to wait until I get to the airport to ask? Also, is there any downside to using the online check-in? For example, if the answer to my above question is that I can not switch to a window seat via the online check-in would it be better not to check-in online and just do so when I arrive at the airport?
