[Since I'm EXP there should be no fees for changing an award ticket]
Right now I've booked for 11/25/15 JFK-LHR (AA metal)-ZRH (BA metal) in award BC = 50,000 + fees(which include BA fuel surcharges)--I'd (of course prefer 64 (AA metal--non stop).
Two days ago AA stopped offering saver BC [even though 64 is showing J7 and the seat map has 2 occupied seats.]
Y saver is STILL being offered for 64 = 20,000 + fees
[I've changed in LHR a few timets, T3 to T5, crowded bus, annoying security (once they completely swabbed every item in my carry-on).]
So downgrading to Y saver, would gain me 30,000 miles + BA fuel surcharge AND avoid a change in LHR.
I'm soliciting any input to help me decide.
