I have a Sony ICF-SW100S. It's excellent: about the size of a packet of cigarettes. Before that I used a Sony ICF 2002 for about 10 years. It also was excellent, but about the size of a paperback. The important thing is digital tuning. A good place to buy these things is the Dixons in T3 at LHR (not particularly cheap, but they have them on the shelves).
