Do you have any friends/family that live in the "lower 48" that you'd trust having the gift cards shipped to who could get USPS Flat rate envelope ship you the cards to Hawaii?
Doesn't resolve the Hawaiian Airlines not accepting Amex for gift cards but if you found a gift card option that does you could have them shipped to someone you trust.
