No. Even if I would travel in a company of three I wouldn't want the middle seat.
I love free middle seats though. There are chances for that when the cabin isn't sold out.
I did travel with my wife and 4-year old grandson last year, and the three seats were good (grandson in middle seat). After the flight, I selfishly thought that it would have been best to get my wife and grandson in a window/aisle and me on the other aisle seat in the block of three seats.
