honestly, the devaluations at aa, ba, swa etc make me wonder why I care or play this game anymore. I am lucky enough to be lifetime platinum so dont need to fly AA. I fly SWA more now due to convienence and flexibility. so easy to change flights and they dont bend you over in fees to do so. swa is not a low cost carrier anymore, but they still are the most consumer friendly.
I disagree.
i.e. no lounge access at SFO (a very large airport) even with PP.
A $ based system would leave me worse off.
