I was wondering about this also. I have a UA-booked itinerary as follows: IAH-FRA-TXL in C (IAH-FRA on UA, FRA-TXL on LH), then TXL-FRA-BOS-IAH in C/F (TXL-FRA on LH C, FRA-BOS on LH F, BOS-IAH on UA F). I was wondering if LH would let me SDC/reroute to the direct FRA-IAH flight. (Not sure if I'd want to do this anyway as the FRA-BOS leg is on the 748, which I've never tried.)
