Trans-pacific will give you the longest F experience.
The lounges are designed to cater for the number of F passengers, and oneworld emeralds using them. Lounges can get busy, and there might be a wait for some services such as showers or cabanas, but if you allow time you'll be able to sample everything you want.
I'd probably allow about 3.5 hours if you want to try the cabana (that's the private room with bath and waterfall shower), have a meal, and enjoy a couple glasses of champagne. That's all available in the F wing, which is usually where I stay put (except the new Pier lounge, which just opened, actually looks pretty good now!)
There are no meals to pre-order for CX F, unless you have special dietary or religious requirements. Everything that's on offer will be in the menu... including caviar and champagne.
As
Gongzuokuang points out, CX works slightly differently to many other airlines... it's very much a 'request' service. This allows passengers to tailor their experience exactly how they want.
While you will be automatically offered things like the welcome drink, PJs, amenity kits and menus (and they'll discuss what you want to eat for the main meal)... other things are up to you. If you want extra drinks while watching a movie... simply press the call bell. If you want a snack mid-flight... press the call bell. If you want your bed made... again, let them know. They'll be at your seat in about 8 seconds.
If you sit there the whole flight and don't indicate you want anything... the chances are they'll think you want to be left alone in peace
If you want, you can let the crew know this is your first time in First Class, and they'll happily take you through all the features of the seat, and guide you through the service offering.
CX F is really about the tailored personal service. Could you sleep equally well, be fed almost as well, and get pretty good attentive service in business? Absolutely. But F is kind of a step and a half above that.
