The way it works at those places where BA has a dedicated lounge in the USA is that the lounge tends to open certainly 2 hours before the flight, maybe 3 hours. So 11 hrs would be plausible for when there is a 14 hrs flight, 12 hrs for sure. I would not rush to get their too early, however.
The problem that we grapple with on both FT and ba.com is that flights change times and the lounge times change with them, generally speaking.. It's quite a job keeping on track of it.
