I got one of these today and am quite sure that in the past few weeks BA has not texted or called either of my phones about the reservation in question. It's an itinerary that has been plagued by multiple changes, but a look online appeared to confirm that nothing had changed since early May.
With travel commencing next week I wasn't going to risk not calling as requested. A (long) phone call confirmed that everything's okay. Frustrating and a waste of both customer and staff time.
