I am aware of the risks of travelling to the airport by bus, but wasn't happy about how they dealt with it that's all (and the driver apparently gave us the wrong directions for the train to the airport, I was lucky that me met someone who knew where to go and the fastest way there).

I just asked them if they would pay us back for the tickets we didn't use for the principle, we paid less than £6 for 2 people for the bus, so no loss there for me. We had planned a buffer in the time we were supposed to take the bus to be able to catch a train if anything went wrong.

The problem with easybus is that their track record is far from perfect, and for an airport bus company this is far from ideal. This is why I personally wouldn't recommend using them to get to the airport if there is a chance of trafic and you can't take an early bus, or if you can afford the train.

If you can leave early enough and can plan accordingly then it should be ok, but I won't risk it again.
