I rarely EVER check baggage, but Etihad was anal about the 8kg cabin allowance and my carry-on was about 11kg. Forced to check it at Rome Fiumicino thanks to not-so-nice Alitalia agents, and that's when disaster started.

Flew FCO-AUH-SIN with a tight connection in AUH from an outgoing delay. They rushed the passengers to make their connection, but their bags didn't. Even when they held the plane for all connecting passengers, and had further air traffic control delays leaving AUH.

Found out when we landed in Singapore, with an agent holding a manifest of all bags that did not transfer. Was given $50 SGD (~$37 USD) and that was it. I nearly laughed.

Fast forward days later, I've already flown home, and my bags still are not here after several days.

Promises after promises after every call that it will be on the "next flight" out from AUH and "delivered". Still nothing, it's been over a week.

I've just about had it with this airline. My biggest regret is not knowing what to do with my upcoming reservations in the First Apartment that I spent my AA miles on. And to think I was even considering Etihad Guest as a FFP...

Hi keitherson, kindly send the details including your ticket number and your email address via a private message so we can forward it to our Guest Relations team to look into this for you. *ES
