The problem with London hotels is that the prices vary so hugely day to day, it's really hard to give individual recommendations!

You could look at the Tune Hotel King's Cross, which is pretty close by, and gets great reviews. There's also the quirky Goodenough Club.

How far in advance are you booking? There's been some great deals on HotelTonight recently, although I suspect these will peter out as peak tourist season approaches...
