Greetings all,
so I thought I'd ask here for some tips on a semi-cheap hotel in London.
This fall I'll be doing a night in London on my way to Paris and Iceland. I've decided to travel to Paris via Eurostar vs flying as well I've never done it before, plus it's cheaper.
Anyways, my original thought was that I would stay somewhere on the outskirts of central London, but within a reasonable distance to St. Pancras station where I'll be leaving in the early morning for my 8am departure for Paris.
Knowing London isn't cheap, I've been trying to find a hotel that's reasonably close, but costing less than what I'd get for my liver.
While I've been to London in the past, I've only ever stayed on the outskirts, by 7 Sisters/White Hall Lane and Peckham which were about 30mins commutes into the city.
Since my train is early I was considering just getting a black cab to St. Pancras but if the hotel is going to cost me $120-130 CDN and the cab another £20-30, I'm thinking maybe I should just stay closer to the station and then walk over?
The hotel I'm thinking of was the ibis London Euston St Pancras since it was close and cheaper than more or less everything else I've seen, as opposed to ibis London Earls Court which is a bit further, or staying somewhere near Greenwich.
If I book it now, the Ibis St. Pancras is $163 CDN...
Anyways, any help is greatly appreciated.
