This sounds about right to me. Assuming no delays, it should work out. That said, you don't have much room for error, so just be prepared for the possibility that you might not make it if you are delayed in any fashion. I've heard that they can be sticklers about not letting folks in after the time window.

HP is a somewhat steep hike, but not too bad, unless you are out of shape or have a bad fear of heights. Lots of large stone steps. And although there are points where you can see down to the valley floor, there are cables available, and I never really felt too exposed at any point. Do take account of the altitude, though, as I found that to be the biggest adjustment.

The view itself is fine, although it's not the iconic view from the hut. It's really more of a birds-eye view of the entire complex, from far above.
