I started looking for properties over 6 months ago, booked two nights in Time Square and two nights in Andaz Wall Street (with the hope of moving to either PH or 5th Av). Kept trying and finally landed two nights in Park Hyatt (Yay)! The other two nights are in Hyatt Times Square. However, Andaz 5th is absolutely sold out, i cannot understand that. Not even one single room - even one single day, and i started looking into it some more. It looks not a single room is available over next 4-5 months which accommodates a family. Only suites. Am I missing something? I have stayed in other Hyatt's worldwide including Vendome, but never had anything like this happen.
Is Hyatt really blocking chase awards so badly?
IMHO Andaz 5th Ave is the best Hyatt hotel in NYC presently because of management and Gold Passport friendly behavior in house
Its also amongst if not the the most popular Hyatt in all of NYC .
I have notice the hotel seemingly restricting the use of standard rooms and releasing them getting closer to the arrival dates as of late
The Park Hyatt may be a better property for non elites and especially for free on redemption
Room allocations are the same for everybody pretty much elite or not
Be aware that Andaz 5th has a charge for roll aways listed and retains the right to collect the additional charge if they choose to
