And those BA scamcharges have their advantages - becasue people try to avoid them, you're likely to find available seats when in a pinch.
Also, the abundance of award availability using BA lets you claim a SAAver Award. So would one rather pay with fewer miles and a few hundred dollars for an award ticket with AAdvantage. Or a huge amount of miles and a few dollars with Sky Pesos (or an AAnytime Award on AA metal, for that matter)?
