Ok, back from my protein shopping trip to the grocery store. I now have bought more meat (steak, burgers, chicken, beef hot dogs) than I have in 10 years.
And other than the hot dogs, I don't know how to cook any of the other stuff (I wasn't kidding when I said I don't cook). The good news is that I love cookbooks & have a few, so I'm sure I can find some directions in there (my sister can't figure out why stuff from Williams-Sonoma, chefs catalog & cookbooks are on my Xmas list, given that I don't cook - I just tell her it's for when SHE visits & cooks!

). How long does it take to boil a hard-boiled egg, btw?
A real sleuthing thing was finding lowfat, low cholesterol, lowcarb dressing for salad - geez. Seems like you can find one or the other, but not all 3. Finally got some close to low in everything.
While I did buy some bananas (I know it's fruit but the potassium helps when you're exercising), that was it for the fruit thing.
Those Luna bars & protein bars referred to earlier in the thread really have a lot of carbs - guess cuz folk that exercise/do marathons need carbs as well as protein.
BTW - didn't realize until today how much I eat out and/or get take-out from the gourmet grocery store. Breakfast is normally cereal, juice, tea; lunch, soup or lean cuisine, dinner restaurant or delivery or gourmet take-out.
Going to 'test-drive'the misty tanning thing this weekend - decided to see how it went rather than do it the night before I head to Vegas (and find out it looks horrible on me).
Punki, will look at that Beach Body thing.
