I was considering booking a business class return for me and my partner (decided not to upgrade the one way to DXB if anyone remembers and instead save my money) from GLA-JFK through LHR. However a friend told me that booking starting in Europe is often much cheaper so I looked at this. I noticed that flying beginning in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Warsaw etc the price of a Club World return is less than half the price of that from GLA/any other UK airport. Is it allowed to, say, fly to CPH a day before, stay at the airport overnight then catch a CW CPH-JFK? This would be saving £1k each on flights, even with the flight to CPH to catch the CW flight. Is this allowed if I don't stay in Copenhagen? (I'm kind of new to flying having just gotten over my fear). And if so, how are these fares possible?!
